곧 3월 모의고사를 앞두고 있는데요~

문장삽입는 학생들이 많이 어려움을 느끼곤 합니다.

그래서 2022년에 시행된 9월 모의고사 문항 중 오답률이 높았던 문제를 준비했습니다.

문제의 해설을 보면서 문장삽입 tip을 얻어가세요~

오늘 준비한 문제도 해설에서 배울 수 있는 점이 많으니, 정독해서 읽어보길 추천합니다~

일단 가장 중요한 것은 주어진 문장을 읽고 해석한 후에는 핵심어/ 명시적 단서/ 지시어, 연결사를 보면서 읽어야한다는 것입니다.

자, 그럼 주어진 문장에서 답의 길잡이가 되줄 수 있는 힌트들을 찾아봅시다.

In particular, they define a group as two or more people who interact with, and exert mutual influences on, each other.

읽으면서 보니 어? In particular가 나오네, 주어진 문장은 앞문장 강조하는 내용이구나?

핵심표현을 정리해보니, 그들은 집단을 구성하고 서로 상호작용하고, 서로 영향력을 끼친다.입니다.

이렇게 정리한 [핵심표현]과 관련있는 내용이 어디에있을까? 를 생각하며 답을 찾아봅시다.

In everyday life, we tend to see any collection of people as a group.

우리는 어떤 사람들의 집단을 그룹으로 보는 경향이 있다.

( 1 ) However, social psychologists use this term more precisely.

그러나 사회심리학자들은 this term (이러한 용어)를 더 정확하게 사용한다.

[그러나]의 앞 뒤 내용에 we 와 social psychologists가 나오면서 내용연결이 자연스럽게 이뤄지고 있습니다. 게다가우리가 일반적으로 중요한 단서라고 여기는 지시어 this term은 (1)번에 a group 으로 응집됨을 확인할 수 있습니다.

그러니 (1)번을 부드럽게 넘기고 (2)번을 읽어봅시다~

( 2 ) It is this sense of mutual interaction or interdependence for a common purpose which distinguishes the members of a group from a mere aggregation of individuals.

this sense of mutual interaction 명시적 단서인 this가 있는 것으로 보아 앞에는 this sense of mutual interaction과 관련한 내용이 나와야겠죠? 그런데 (1)번 문장에는 이와 관련한 내용이 나와있지 않습니다. 그래서 주어진 문장을 보니

interact with => this sense of mutual interaction으로 내용이 연결되는 것이 보이네요.

그리고 이렇게 주어진 문장이 (2)번 위치가 적절하단 것을 알고 보면 they가 (1)번 문장의 social psychologists 임을 알 수 있습니다.

아래와 같이 말이죠.

그래도 답인지 확신하기 위해서 (3)번도 계속 읽어보겠습니다.

내용으로 보아 (4)번은 the members of a group(A)에 대한 구체적 설명임을 알 수 있네요.
